Mexico and Peru Closer to the Ratification of the Commercial Protocol

Approval Stuart Miles
The Mexican Senate approved the Commercial Protocol of the PA on December 14th, while Peru issued a Supreme Decree (N°062-2015-RE) on the 25th November to fulfill the internal requirements and procedures towards the formal incorporation and later ratification of the Commercial Protocol.

Following these two procedures for incorporation, the Commercial Protocol is two steps closer to its entrance into force. The actual Protocol foresees that It will enter into force on the first day of the third month following the last notification received from the state members. The corresponding notifications are still awaiting.
Hopefully these steps mean that the Commercial Protocol could enter into force in the early days of March 2016, although the approval by the Chilean Senate is still pending.
